SonyEricsson K530i Mobile Cell Phone Take Apart & Repair Guide

Here are disassembly instructions for the Sony/Ericsson K530i mobile phone. You need a Torx 7 screwdriver, and a small Phillips (CrossHead) screwdriver.

  Take the battery cover off.

Take out the battery and SIM card.

Take the top dark gray cover off (it's held by 4 clips, just lift the side away by the memory slot or the volume button with a screwdriver or fingernail).

Unscrew the 4 Torx screws (size T7).

Remove the front cover (3 clips on either side, lift to unclip as above). Starting on the R side is probably easier (clip by the 6 key, the lower edge of the screen, and the magnifying glass).

Remove the 2 Phillips screws at either end of the keyboard and screen.

Release the clips at the sides and end to release the main PCB.
